I am Married with two daughters. I work for a small city government.  When I am not shooting precision rifle I spend my free time night hunting predators with my team pitch black precision crew all over the Midwest. We spend most of the off season hunting varmints for farms as well. I like to play guitar regularly and enjoy music. Spending time with friends and family every minute I can.

Matt Rooks

I started shooting precision rifle competitions in 2016 and joined Short Action Customs towards the end of 2016. SAC has a been a great company to be affiliated with. Mark and his crew make world class custom rifles and most importantly, they great people to be around. When I’m not shooting, I enjoy hanging out with my wife/family, watching sports, and being in the outdoors. Through the week, I manage an emergency room staffing company in Columbus, Ohio.

Matt Stiner

I am a second year team member in my 3rd year of competitive shooting.  In my first season as team shooter I participated in 7 National PRS matches with accomplished 6 top 20 finishes earning me a spot in the PRS Finale in Cresson, Texas.  In addition to being an active shooter in the national shooter I am also the match director at Southington Hunt Club in Garrettsvillle, Ohio. We will be hosting our first 2 day national PRS match on June 21-23 at the facility. In 2018 I started the SHC Precision Rifle League; this is a weekly PRS style match geared towards getting new shooters involved and providing local national shooters with a solid location to train for upcoming matches.  The popularity of this match series is growing and I have seen over 80 different shooters in attendance in the first 4 matches of 2019 alone. In addition to the SHC League Matches I will the MD for the Penn-Ohio Precision Rifle Club Series. This series will be the PRS Regional Club Series based between Southington Hunt Club and South Beaver Tactical. I will also be a co-director of the PRS North East Regional Series in 2019.

Matt Lavine

I began competing in precision rifle matches in 2010 and was immediately hooked because of the technical aspects of the sport and camaraderie this community shares. I also assist in match director duties for one of the largest SW clubs, AZ LRPRS. We hold monthly matches for around 80 shooters and host a national level match biannually.  When I’m not on the range I supervise operations for a large nuclear pharmacy that’s provides diagnostic medicine statewide. My priority is my family, wife of 13 years and a son who is now 3. We enjoy spending family time together and love being outdoors whether it be camping or traveling the state.

I’m from a small town in East Texas called Murchison. I’v been in the Army for 13 years and still currently on Active Duty. I spent seven years as a Infantryman, with 3 deployments to Iraq/Afghanistan. I currently live in Clarksville Tennessee where I am the station commander of the Clarksville Army Recruiting Station. I have always had a passion for shooting. I grew up hunting and trapping in the woods of East Texas. After shooting my first PRS match, competitive shooting became a big part of my life. I have made some great friends along the way that has solidified my passion for this sport.”

I’ve been competing in precision rifle matches since 2012. I’m also a match director and host national level matches each year at the Big Sandy Range in Northern Arizona. I have a passion for accuracy and precision and enjoy putting it together in the competitive long range match format. I am currently sponsored by Short Action Customs, MasterPiece Arms, Kahles, Swarovski Optik, Short Action Precision, and the Capstone Precision Group (Lapua, Berger Bullets, VihtaVuori).  Outside of long range competition, I enjoy fishing, hunting and traveling with my wife Susie.

Josh Ruby

I started shooting F-Class matches in 2004 and moved on to tactical type matches around 2006.  I became a member of Team SAC in 2015. I enjoy being a part of Team SAC because of Mark’s commitment to the industry and customers.  He makes great rifles and they all exceed my accuracy needs. I’m married to my beautiful wife with two beautiful young daughters. Outside of shooting and marksmanship instruction, I do family oriented off-roading and I have a small Facebook page dedicated to it called Off-Road Dad Life.  It gets my girls out to experience nature and gets a little adrenaline pumping. We travel to different Off Highway Vehicle Parks around Texas as a family.
